    We hope you had a great weekend! To start things off, some thoughts on gold from major coin dealers. Also, Malaysia’s one sen coin, the scientific response to picking up pennies, fake PCGS slabs, 1933 Gold Double Eagles, Peace Dollars, and an eBay alternative for coin collectors. On to the links…

    Numismatic News interviews some major coin dealers to get their thoughts on gold after the recent “correction.”

    If higher prices for gold are ahead, this might spur more melting. What else might get melted?

    Malaysia is attempting to lower the demand for their one sen coin. Starting April 1, all total bills are required to be rounded to the nearest multiple of five sen, although the one sen coin will remain legal tender.

    While it might be difficult for a coin collector to resist, is it “scientifically” worthwhile to pick up a penny? Link found via Coin Collector’s Blog.
