eBay announced its first quarter results last night- read a quick recap or the full release. EBay’s new CEO also indicated that there would be more changes ahead in an effort to revitalize the business. Specifically mentioned were the fee structure, search functions, and payment guarantees at Paypal.

The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee has an upcoming meeting. They plan to review the 2009 designs for the Native American Dollar and First Spouse Gold Programs.

I’ve mentioned the auction for the single finest 1932-D Washington Quarter. The final price: $143,750.

From the Where Are They Now Dept: Former ANA Executive Director Christopher Cipoletti has been hired by Rare Coin Wholesalers to head a new retails sale division.

It’s been over two months of suspension. When will the 2007 Platinum Eagles go back on sale at the US Mint?

And now for some notable auctions. Here’s a nice looking set which contains all 6 1909 Pennies, including the 1909-S Indian Head Cent and 1909-S VDB Lincoln Cent.

Another interesting group in capital holders- 1950-1959 Proof Sets. Each is housed in an individual holder, all come in a wooden box with velvet lining.

Anyone want to buy the original Pacific Wheel Ferris Wheel? It’s nine-stories tall and weighs 61 tons. (Winning bidder must pay for shipping or pick up locally!)
