JasonWelcome to your belated Friday edition of Coin Update!

The update comes later than usual because our two month old Jason had a little bit of a reaction to a vaccination shot. Thankfully, he is doing much better now, but it was a rough time for a while. Here is a picture of the brave little guy!

As for today’s update, first we have a few stories on precious metals. Also, the Arizona State Quarter launch, another angle on the Direct Ship Presidential Dollar program, National State Park Quarters, the 1961 Franklin Half, and notable auctions. On to the links…

And now for some notable auctions. First, a major struck through error sealed in a 1999 Mint Set.

Next, an appealing 1909-S V.D.B. Lincoln Cent PCGS MS64RD. At the time of this post the bidding was quickly approaching the Buy It Now price.

Last, a nice example of a 1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar.

It’s Friday the 13th, be cautious out there and have a great weekend!
