    We’re back for another round up of coin collecting news from around the web! Gold comes back after the Fed decision. Also the Millennia Collection, spending alternative currencies, numismatic photography, rare coins are circulating in Los Angeles, the Annie Oakley coin, and notable auctions. On to the links…

    Gold rises after the Fed left rates unchanged yesterday.

    The Millennia Collection auction sales total exceeds $23 million. It was the most valuable collection of world coins to cross the auction block in a single day.

    If you are in the Los Angeles area, you might want to take a close look at your change. Eighteen rare coins were inadvertently spent into circulation. Quote from the story: “Our friend is heartsick knowing that he purchased groceries and lunch that ended up cosing us more than one-half million dollars.”

    NGC has graded a matte proof 1925-S California Half Dollar. Notably, this is the only proof version of this coin graded by either PCGS or NGC.
