On to the links…

Gold reaches a one month low and continues selling off this morning.

    Zimbabwe makes $10,000,000,000 = $1.

Meanwhile, images of the 2009 Ultra High Relief Gold Double Eagle are released by the US Mint yesterday. The official unveiling will take place today.

A new member of the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) has been appointed by Treasury Secretary Paulson. The committee is also seeking applications for a member to represent the general public.

The ANA World’s Fair of Money begins today in Baltimore, Maryland. CoinNews.net has an excellent summary of some of the highlights of the event.

The story of the 1943-S Bronze Penny as reported by a local newspaper.

Another version of the bill that would authorize the National Park Quarter series has been introduced. The main difference is that the oversized silver bullion duplicates would get a bit more oversized. Instead of five ounces of silver, they would contain eight ounces.

When gold dollars were minted, what could one gold dollar buy?

And now for some notable auctions. First, the key date 1921-D Liberty Walking Half in high grade NGC MS 62.

Another key date, the 1885 Liberty Nickel PCGS AU50 with no reserve.

And last, a nice collection of 45 original bank wrapped rolls of 1973-S Lincoln Cents. This is one of the low mintage San Francisco years.

That’s it for now. Have a great day!
