Here comes another round up of coin collecting news from around the internet. Fingers crossed, gold looks poised to break its streak of 8 consecutive down days. Also, the US Mint’s Direct Ship Program expands, another coins for cars story, too many collectors coins, ANA exhibit awards, and notable auctions. On to the links…

The US Mint continues their Direct Ship Program by offering four additional Presidential Dollars. Under the program, coins can be purchased at face value with no charge for shipping.

We’ve heard the complaint before, and it’s gone unheeded. Does the US Mint issue too many collector coins?

CoinNews.net covers the 71 competitive exhibit awards given by the ANA at the 2008 World’s Fair of Money.

And now for some notable auctions. First, the popular 2006 20th Anniversary Gold Eagle Set, which includes the Reverse Proof Gold Eagle. All three coins in the set are graded PF 70 by NGC!

Not as popular as the 1955, but here’s the 1972 Double Die Lincoln Cent graded PCGS MS65RD.

And last but not least, the 1936 Proof Liberty Walking Half graded PCGS PR66.

    See you all tomorrow!
