Today gold closed at $894 per ounce and after-hours soared as high as $915 per ounce after the bailout plan was voted down.
The interesting story behind the third 2009 Lincoln Cent design depicting Lincoln outside the Old State Capitol in Illinois (used as today’s coin image). The previous design chosen by the US Mint was overruled after the architect behind the restoration of the building brought the issue directly to the Treasury Secretary.
Likely in response to the recent American Buffalo Gold Suspension by the US Mint, the Royal Canadian Mint has released statements indicating that they are not suspending sales of any gold bullion coins.
