We’re back to bring you another round up of coin collecting news from around the internet! After showing some signs of life, precious metals are back on the decline. Also, eBay reports their quarterly results, questions for the US Mint, coin market report, Fiji one cent coins, and notable auctions. On to the links…
Precious metals were down across the board today. Gold hit a one month low at $804 per ounce.
Platinum hit its lowest level since 2005 at $896.
But putting things in perspective, gold is significantly outperforming other commodities.
Yesterday eBay reported their Third Quarter financial results.
Here’s a brief commentary including the following observation: “Earlier this year, eBay began a restructuring effort designed to improve the buying and selling experience on its Web site… But so far, the changes do not seem to have boosted the core business.”

The Reserve Bank of Fiji recently withdrew its two lowest denomination coins from circulation. The change seems to have many oponents.
