Even though gold has dropped for the seventh straight day, it’s still making new highs by other metrics.
Another curious new high, the Gold/Silver Ratio. But at the same time, the gap between paper and physical silver prices continues to widen significantly. Curiouser and curiouser, right?
In a surprising move, the US Mint puts 2008-W Platinum Eagles back on sale. The coins had been suspended for over two months with mixed reports of whether they would return before year end.
NGC posts an article on some Mint Error coins that they will certify but do not grade. The article includes come great images of die adjustment strikes, split planchets, and struck through errors.

Some very strong statements from the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji in response to some controversy regarding the withdrawal of one and two cent coins. Quote: “There is really no practical need to keep a continuous series of coins except perhaps in theory.”

One of the particularly insightful opinions: “To get rid of the penny would be like erasing a number from the numerical system.
