We're back for a double round up of coin collecting news from around the web!  First, more on the excessive premiums for acquiring physical silver. In the last update, we saw the high premiums for 100 ounce silver barsHere's a look at the premiums for 90% silver coins or junk silver. Dealer buy prices went from $1 below spot to $3 above spot in just a few months.

Gold is set to finish its worst month since 1983. The price of gold has declined 16% during October.

The new headquarters of the American Numismatic Society has opened at 75 Varick Street in New York City. US Mint Director Edmund Moy was on hand to cut the ribbon.
