At the time of writing this post, nearly every gold and platinum coin on the US Mint’s website is no longer available for sale.  What’s going on?

According to the US Mint, the marketing campaign to promote circulation of Presidential Dollars is working. The latest tactic has armored trucks making local stops to encourage people to exchange dollar bills for coins.

Another dollar coin story. In the laundry business, dollar coins actually improve business and make customers happy.

Coming January 10, 2009, George Frederick Kolbe/Fine Numismatic Books will conduct an auction featuring many rare, original numismatic books.
