December 8, 2008: Gold Buffalo Sold Out, Sacagawea Dollars, Argentina Coin Shortage

Every few weeks a round of negative gold stories seems to simultaneously pop up. Here’s one story of an “interventional analyst” who seeing the price of gold beginning to plunge on December 10th, eventually falling as low $455 per ounce.

Another post from an analyst who “called” gold’s recent 10% decline. He still sees gold as a “sucker’s bet.” While my bias on gold is positive, I think it’s important to always consider alternate viewpoints.

The US Mint issues a press release to mark the end of the 50 State Quarters Program and provide some highlights of the “most successful coin initiative in US history.”
