We’re back for a Friday round up of coin collecting news to bring you into the weekend! First, the price of gold reaches a record high (unfortunately not in US dollars). Also, the National Park Quarters series moves forward, sales figures for 2008-W Platinum Eagles and Gold Buffaloes, new Fiji coins, sunken treasure on the Discovery Channel,  your holiday coin list, and notable auctions. The price of gold reaches a record high (in the United Kingdom).

It looks like we’re going to have another lengthy series of circulating commemorative quarters. The legislation for proposed National Park Quarters passed the Senate on Wednesday night and now awaits the President’s signature.
