We’re back with another round up of stories and articles on coins and coin collecting. First, examining some of the misleading mainstream media statements about gold. Barry Stuppler, President of the ANA, has issued a press release hoping to dispel some of the “false, misleading” statements about gold frequently seen in the media.

After a recent pull back in the price of gold, the prices for US Mint gold coins have been reduced. The UHR is now priced at $1,239, the second lowest price since it was first offered.

An article from a Hannibal, Missouri news site about the proposed Mark Twain Commemorative. The end of the article is somewhat amusing. They hope to have the coin issued in 2010 even though the commemorative coin releases for the Boy Scouts and Veterans Disabled for Life have already been approved. Quote: “Maybe there is somebody behind the scenes working so maybe it can be switched.”
