How have financial crises impacted numismatics? Here's an intriguing look at financial pancis throughout history (including the Panic of 2008) and their impacts on coins.

A 1992-D Lincoln Cent for $2,000? Yes, if its an RDV-007. Here are the diagnostics if you want to check your coins.

The move to privatize the Royal British Mint seems to be getting closer. With private capital they would be free to "pursue further commercial activities."

Separately, the Royal Mint has released the first in a series of coins to celebrate the 2012 Olympics.

Are Wheat Pennies the "Next Big Thing"? A local story of a vendor moving from video games to wheat pennies. Some he pulls out of bags of coins from banks at a rate of one per one hundred coins.

And now for some notable auctions. First, the 2009 Anna Harrison First Spouse Gold Coin graded PCGS PR70DCAM.

The always popular 1937-D 3 Legged Buffalo Nickel. This one is graded PCGS XF45 in an old green holder.

Last, a common coin in very uncommon grade. The 1974-S Roosevelt Dime graded PCGS PR70DCAM.
