A much different perspective from Dave Harper who gives his impressions on the latest cent release. Rather than experiencing anxiety about each coin release he says, “I think we should just enjoy it.”

With collectors scrambling to locate and save 2009 dated coins, here’s a timely article that might provide some historical perspective Hoarding Affected Lincolns in Various Ways.

There have been a round of extremely thought provoking articles on eBay as the venue continues to morph into a much different experience for buyers and sellers. Here’s the Wall Street Journal’s Auctions fade as eBay offers wholesale items at fixed prices, TechCrunch’s How Facebook, MySpace and YouTube Killed eBay, and fellow coin collector Adam Nash’s The Real eBay Magic: Irrational Commerce.

When the US Mint started its PR campaign to promote the use of dollar coins, they aired a television commericial featuring the Statue of Liberty buying a hot dog. Someone has finally posted the video on YouTube. Enjoy!

And now for some notable auctions. First, the auction listing for the 2009-P Roosevelt Dime posted on eBay. The winner will lay claim to some interesting bragging rights.

Peace Dollars are rarely encountered with natural rainbow toning. Here’s a beautiful rainbow toned 1923 Peace Dollar which received the NGC Star designation.

Last a still sealed box of 10 2006 20th Anniversary Silver Eagle Sets. These sets contain the 2006-W Reverse Proof Silver Eagle.

Have a great weekend!
