On the heels of recent suspensions and sell outs for their bullion coins, the United States Mint has once again started rationing Gold and Silver Eagle bullion coins. The “allocation programs” will have definite impacts for both precious metals investors and coin collectors.
The 2009 Proof Platinum Eagle has now officially sold out. Late last week, the US Mint started accepting orders for a waiting list after sales had been recorded to fulfill the maximum mintage. The waiting list was closed today.
