Full year figures on 2009 gold and silver bullion sales. The US Mint achieved a new record annual high for American Silver Eagle bullion coins with 28,766,500 coins sold.

The latest US Mint sales report from Coin Update News. The highest sellers by volume were the 2009-dated annual sets, which have remained available into the new year.

Voting for the Coin of the Year Award and People’s Choice award remain open. One of the ten category winners selected was the 2008 American Silver Eagle in the “most popular” category.

If you’re looking for palladium, the only major bullion coin is the Canadian Palladium Maple Leaf. The coins were minted from 2005 to 2007 and again in 2009.
