We’re back with one more round up of coin collecting news and articles before the weekend break! First, recommendation for an American Eagle bullion coin struck in palladium. Coming out of the recent hearing on “The State of U.S. Coins and Currency” was a recommendation for American Palladium Eagle bullion coins. This joins a few past proposals for U.S. coins struck in palladium.

The production of Estonian Euro coins by the Mint of Finland recently began. All coins will carry the same design featuring an outline of the country. Estonia will adopt the Euro on January 1, 2011.

And now for some notable auctions. First, here are separate auctions for the two key dates of the Washington Quarter series, the 1932-D graded PCGS MS63 and the 1932-S graded PCGS MS63.

Next, the a set of 1999-W Washington $5 Gold Commemorative Coin graded NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo and NGC MS 70. Collectors might recall that the coin features a design by Laura Gardin Fraser, originally intended for the Washington Quarter.

Last, on the topic of palladium bullion coins, here are the current auctions for the Royal Canadian Mint’s Palladium Maple Leaf.
