A trio of new coin related videos have recently popped up. The first is the latest new episode of Spare Change posted on CoinsTV.com. Watch the American Gold Eagle video.

For a counterpoint, the Bank of Korea recently provided some overwhelmingly negative comments regarding gold investment. The head of the bank’s reserve management department described the “illusion in gold” stating that it “offers little value with no cash returns.”

And now for some notable auctions. First, the complete 10th Anniversary Gold Eagle Set including the 1995-W Proof Silver Eagle. All coins are graded PCGS PR69DCAM and the original US mint packaging is included.

Next, a collection of Flying Eagle and Indian Head Cents. The set is being auctioned by the state of Massachusetts as abandoned property from a safety deposit box. Is there an 1856 Flying Eagle Cent in the set? Read the questions and answers section of the auction for the ambiguous response.

Last, the 1997-W Jackie Robinson $5 Gold NGC MS 70. Prices for this key date gold commemorative coin seem to be on the decline.

That’s it for today. Have a great evening!
