The first collector reports receiving the 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin! Most collectors are still awaiting arrival, but hopefully this is a sign that more will start shipping soon.
The US Mint has changed their return policy, shortening the return period from 30 days to only 7 calendar days.
With Abraham Lincoln’s 200th birthday only a few days away, The New York Times runs a story which explores the switch from Liberty to Lincoln in 1909 and the somewhat overshadowed launch of the 2009 Lincoln Penny.
Paul Hollis will give away 1 Million Cents, provided he can get his hands on them. Susan Headley recently posted more information on the reason behind the delay for 2009 Lincoln Cents entering circulation.
I spotted this notification that Massachusetts is asking its citizens to vote for what National Park they would like to grace their quarter. They have to choose from a total of 115 different National Parks and Sites.
Collectors Universe, the parent company of grading firm PCGS, reports a net loss for the quarter ended December 31, 2008. They posted a 10.4% decline in grading and authentication fees for the quarter.
CCAC picks their favorite 2010 Presidential Dollar designs. They also recommend that Theodore Roosevelt appear on the obverse of the National Parks Quarters.
