I ordered the $20 double eagle gold coin 22jan09 about 3hours into the process and still have not received it. I am a collector of about 43 years and have never seen the way the mint is operating. If I was able to complete a survey about the mint they currently would fail all aspects of customer service. What really bewilders me is why do they continue to offer products that they are not ready for and apparently sometimes don’t even have the supplies (blanks, etc.) or the coin production started. I am also really disappointed that their word doesn’t mean anything anymore. Just look at shipping dates they list…hahaha
I have a 3 year old son I am trying to teach about coins but I am starting to get frustrated enough to find another hobby than to put my son thru this unnecessary stress. Coin collecting is suppose to be fun not frustrating!
