We’re back with another round up of coin collecting news from all around the internet. First, platinum crosses $1,000 even as gold and silver pull back. Also, the upcoming FUN convention, collecting coins on a budget, another NGC holder improvement, commemorative coins for the Year of the Ox, and notable auctions. On to the links…
Platinum topped $1,000 today for the first time since October. The price later pulled back, but still closed positive on the day. Gold and silver showed declines of 2% and 3%.

And now for some notable auctions. A collection of 1986 to 2008 Proof Silver Eagles with all coins graded NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo.
It will be interesting to see where the price ends for this 2008 Proof Gold Eagle 4 Coin Set. The sets recently sold out and boast a very low mintage.
