July 8, 2009: US Mint Sales Figures, Identifying Undated 20p Coins, ANA Election Results

Here’s another round up of coin collecting news from across the internet. These links will cover the past week- typically updates are published more frequently, but I am still on half schedule during vacation. First, one US Mint product scheduled for release and another product delayed. Also, ANA election results, the CCAC’s choice for the 2009 Boy Scouts Coin, Mint Stats, Transformers Coins, new coin related legislation, a few top tens, and notable auctions. On to the links…

The next product to be released by the US Mint will be the Presidential Dollar Coin and Medal Set featuring John Tyler and Letitia Tyler. A separate set will be issued later featuring John Tyler and Julia Tyler.

So this is why the 2009 Mint Set hasn’t been released yet… The 95% copper cents included in the sets were found to have “unique tarnish issues.”

Results of the 2009 ANA Elections. Clifford Mishler was elected as ANA President. The successful candidates for the Board of Governors was also announced.

The CCAC provides their choice for the 2009 Boy Scouts Commemorative Coin design.
