The Royal Australian Mint has named Ross MacDiarmid as its new CEO. He has private sector experience in manufacturing and marketing, as well as a background in tourism and business development.
And now for some notable auctions. First, the 1939 Oregon Trail Half Dollar three coin set with coins graded NGC MS64, MS65, and MS66. This was the lowest mintage year.
Next, a 1962-D Franklin Half Dollar struck on a quarter planchet. The error coin is encapsulated by PCGS and graded AU55.
Last, what appears to be the only uncirculated 2009-W Julia Tyler First Spouse Gold Coin currently on eBay. Will this coin have a mintage under 3,000?
