A closer look at Proof Like 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coins. NGC has awarded the “PL” designation to about a thousand coins which exhibit fully proof like surfaces on the obverse and reverse.

Another bill has been introduced which seeks commemorative coins related to the Gettysburg campaign. Oddly, this version of the bill specifies maximum production of only 100,000 for the clad half dollar included in the program.

Over the past few days, the US Mint has ended sales for several Presidential Dollar products. Here’s a look at the products and last reported sales figures from Mint News Blog.

Last, a 1934-S Peace Dollar NGC MS 64. This coin is the often considered a key date for an uncirculated Peace Dollar collection.
