The US Mint will release the Abigail Fillmore First Spouse Gold Coins later this week. The maximum authorized mintage will be set at just 15,000, down from the 40,000 maximum in place for all prior issues of the series.
Heritage’s upcoming auction at the National Money Show will include a 1911-D Quarter Eagle graded PCGS MS66.
A new $100 Federal Reserve note will be introduced on April 21 at a special ceremony. Attendees of the ceremony will include Timothy Geithner and Benjamin Bernanke.

And now for some notable auctions. Incredibly, here is a John Quincy Adams Presidential Dollar struck on a 5C planchet. The error coin is authenticated by PCGS and graded MS67. The auction description states that this is the only known off metal error for a Presidential Dollar.
I just received my American Veterans Disabled for Life Silver Dollar from the US Mint. Already, already here are examples graded NGC MS 70 and NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo in stock at Modern Coin Mart.
Last, here’s the 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin graded NGC MS 70 PL. There was a Coin Update News article on NGC’s Proof Like designation that is still receiving new comments.
