We’re back with another round up of news, articles, and blog posts about coin collecting! First, all of the 2010 Lincoln Cent design candidates. Here are all seventeen of the 2010 Lincoln Cent design candidates. One design was removed from consideration after some controversy. The CCAC’s favored candidate is the shield design used as today’s image.
An interesting article by David L. Ganz. He revisits the performance of coins as an investment class following the recent sale of the 1804 Silver Dollar and other.
Russia plans to switch from copper coins to steel coins with a nickel covering. The impacted coins will be the 1, 2, and 5 rouble coins.
The Royal British Mint used 75% more gold in the first quarter of 2009. Surprisingly, their use of silver dropped 10% during the same period.
